Partnership marks the first commitment in law firm’s Technology for Children outreach program.

DALLAS, TX – August 6, 2007 – Scott & Scott, LLP (www.scottandscottllp.com), a law and technology services firm focusing on matters involving IT, announced today it will fund fifteen scholarships for PC Kidz, an early childhood computer education provider. The scholarships will be offered to qualified students at early childhood education centers where PC Kidz is already an established curriculum partner. The funding will cover 100% of enrollment and fees for one year for students entering the program at the preschool level.

The PC Kidz comprehensive and proprietary curriculum delivers high-quality, early-exposure computer classes to children that support academic learning and foster creativity as children learn and master fundamental computer skills. Scott & Scott is funding the scholarships as a part of the firm’s commitment to bridging the digital divide between children of different socio-economic backgrounds.

“We are honored to be the recipient of such a generous gift and look forward to awarding these scholarships to deserving students,” said Steve Perry, who founded PC Kidz in 1999 with his wife Tammy, an elementary teacher, after she noticed a deficiency in the computer skills of her students. “These scholarships will give PC Kidz the financial backing it needs to begin reaching lower income students. Addressing and conquering the digital divide that threatens to leave America’s impoverished children at an educational disadvantage is exactly in keeping with the PC Kidz mission.”

“Scott & Scott is passionate about empowering children with the technology tools and information they need to be successful in school and life. Our partnership with PC Kidz is the first of many initiatives we plan to undertake as a firm to participate in the fight to level the playing field when it comes to technology in education,” said Robert J. Scott, managing partner at Scott & Scott, LLP.

“Making programs like PC Kidz available to all preschoolers is important to our future. These skills are mandatory for children in today’s technology-centric environment to grow up with the knowledge and skills that will foster success both academically and in the workplace later in life,” Scott said.
